strange....

i just posted about being bored tonight (which is getting better due to the fact that i went and bought myself some wine :)). i posted this a) because it's true and b) without any knowledge of this......


post from one year ago today (which i just discovered - because i'm bored and had nothing else to do but read through some previous posts...)

i'm craving some good conversation. someone who doesn't mind sittin' around in comfy pants with a glass of wine and just chattin'. hmph.

seeing as how it's 8:30 and i doubt i'll find someone i guess i'll go to the store and grab some wine for myself. that knitting project will turn out beautiful! ha :)

January 12th, 2008

today has turned out to be pretty good.

it's the first weekend in a long time that chris and i have both have off and had absolutely no plans. we slept in together. ate breakfast together. and when we were both ready we went out and did some shopping.

i had to stop by the sprint store as my phone is dying (yay! one more thing i have to buy!) then we had chipotle (yyyyuuuuummmm!). after that we headed off to see juno. extremely good movie! i cried

i might have time to write more later but right now i should go. kristin is over. she's bored watching me blog and as a result has started to break my belongings :)

the above picture is of chris working on a cat scratching post stand thingamabobber. isn't he a sweetheart? right now he's actually off to home depot to grab some more twine :)

Oh!

the view from my treadmill is not spectacular. in fact - minus the tv (when it's on) it's rather dull. i find myself staring at this outlet as it's rather high on the wall (for the air conditioner). it seems to have taken on a personality. this tiny little face saying 'Oh!' hmmmm....

have you heard the new song by Leann Rhimes - 'Nothin' Better To Do'? i love that song. currently listening to it in fact. although it did make me hurt my hip. well - i suppose i made me hurt my hip but nonetheless.... i was listening to the song while walking on the treadmill and got a bit spunky and sassy (did i really just use the word 'sassy'?) in my walk and it got rather bouncy. i may have also waved my hands about in the air. (nerdy..i know...but chris wasn't home) as a result i think i pulled a muscle in my hip and it hurt for weeks afterwards...ouch!

this blog is turning into treadmill stories. i don't really have much else to yak about. oh - i got some new yarn today! i know...i know..i shouldn't have. but it's for this extremely cute teddy bear pattern i found. i also bought stuffing. hopefully it turns out. i'll post pics when it's done. oh! and i found this posting there (at Micheals) - Warm Up America. Check it out - great idea for using up any scraps of yarn you can't figure out a use for! :)

what else?

i'm still stuffing envelopes at work! My fingers - aside from getting numerous paper cuts - were also getting rubbed raw along my right pinky from the outer lip of the envelope. then i discovered the latex gloves (of which the blood center is littered with!) and they are wonderful!

alright - dinner is served and i'm outta here :)

Lights Out!

Last night we got an honest-to-god thunderstorm! Lightening, rain, thunder, wind and power outages - the whole shebang! I was curled up in my bed reading when it happened. Luckily Kristin was there and grabbed her flashlight and candles - I would have been clueless as to where they were. So we lit some candles and read for a bit. Then we decided to play cards - war - which she won in like fifteen minutes!! WTF? Why do I suck at games so much? It needs to end....

Anyhow. That was my night. Not having my camera present I used my camera phone to capture it all. The images are grainy but you get the point.

i got a headache last night and i think it was due entirely to the fact that my brain had no stimulation. it was mad at me.


i thought having some days off inbetween jobs would be a treat - and it is in a way - i'm getting a ton of knitting done - but i just feel so useless. on the other hand i've also been watching a ton of t.v. my current most watched are Top Design (which comes on soon - better hurry it up here) and The Real Housewives of Orange County (i know...i know...it makes me sad too - but they play them back to back to back and i just get sucked in)


kristin works. chris works. they come home from busy days and i've been sitting in the same spot as when they left. not cool.(i should move from the couch to the chair just to show some movement took place huh?)


i need to pick up the pace tomorrow. i think my brain might go on strike if i don't - if it hasn't already...hard to tell in this state....
