You thought I was an idiot before - think again!
(i really need to work on getting more sleep. lack of it can cause the following....)
i wear contacts. i wear them daily. you'd think i'd be able to do it correctly. well....
this morning i put in the first contact. fine. i put in the second contact. fine. then it got extremely blurry. i took it out. then i noticed the other eye wasn't seeing correctly - it was all out of focus like there was no contact. i thought it had possibly rolled back - so i attempted to find it. i couldn't. i got nervous. then i realized that although i had taken out the second contact i could still see clearly out of that eye.
my dumbass put both contacts on ONE eyeball!
i've been wearing contacts for over a decade and have never done this. sigh...

That is pretty silly... in my first year of teaching, I kept losing one of my two contacts, which would drive me nuts. I have a very light prescription, but enough that driving can be annoying because the signs take so long to get into focus... so I started wearing glasses last fall. Then Penelope at them (yes, Penelope, and not Zephyr). So now I'm back to contacts, but I keep ripping them. So I'm down to one pair for the wedding and honeymoon as it takes something like a week or so for any contacts to come in at my small town optometrist. By the way, I'm getting married in two days, and I think I'm getting nervous. When I'm nervous, I tend to talk a lot.
Well I hope the contacts you have last you for these next two BIG events!
I am in serious need of new glasses but have no money to get them!
and Dear God - if I were getting married in 2 days you'd have to slap me to make me shut-up! Ramble on my dear! :)
Oh, I've done that once or twice...I think I was still in high school but things like that have are pretty easy to do when you first wake up. I now have a rule that I have to have my shower first before I put in my contacts - that generally makes the process go more smoothly, since I'm more awake then.
Oh - I took a shower first. I suppose that makes it all the more sad though :)
hahahahaha! I've done that before. Ay yi yi.....
I have to put my contacts in BEFORE I shower or I don't see anything IN the shower. Wait...maybe THAT'S the way to go!!!!
