the kids in the apartment next door are continuously stomping in place - or so it sounds - and have been doing so for the past hour. I'm sitting here with the music up loud(er) and I can still feel the vibrations from them in my chair.

i would go over and maybe tell their parents to tell them to shut the fuck up but i don't think it would help. i heard them come home last night (with the kids running and screaming right outside my door) and the parents sounded dumber than a box of rocks.

it seriously sounds like there are at least 5 kids over there! if you cannot afford more than a 2 bedroom apartment perhaps you should not have 5 brats running around over there like monkeys. and if you must have that many children then teach them to be respectful of others. the room they are acting like jumping screaming beans in borders a bedroom (granted we don't use it for that purpose but they don't know that!)!

i'm going to put on my ipod and exercise. if they are still pulling this shit when I'm done I might go crazy.

reasons....

a company this large should have a computer server that functions at a pace faster than roadkill.

i've said it once and i'll say it again - christmas is just that - Christmas. Chanukah is Chanukah. etc. etc. when you have window decorations that have a penguin dressed in a santa hat with a red and white scarf and a candy cane it should be called a CHRISTMAS decoration and not a "holiday" decoration. i know not one Jewish person who would use this decor to celebrate Chanukah. i also do not know one Jewish person who is offended that we call that decorated pine tree a Christmas tree instead of a "holiday" tree. i'm all for making people feel included but that's just plain dumb, am i wrong? say 'Happy Holiday's!' to people - that's great! but call the damn decorations what they are for crying out loud.

i cannot stand people who do not flush the toilet when they're done. if you can't flush it then don't use the damn toilet. go outside in the bush.

woman - you do not come with a penis and therefore you should not pee on the toilet seat (nor should men but at least i can semi understand it - although seriously - it's NOT a fire hose - control it)! i just do not realize how they do this! if you scared to sit on the seat and spray - have the decency to clean up your mess - or once again - go outside in the bush.

when someone smiles at you and says hi - at least acknowlege them.

if you are dumb enough to use your hair dryer in the tub, reheat your pizza in it's box in your oven, smoke, or use a screwdriver that's on to scratch your nose - you deserve the consequenses and should not be allowed to sue. you're dumb.

if you cannot make a turn going over 5 mph or drive over 20 mph than you should have your driving license taken away.

if you think you're question might be stupid (and trust me - it is) than you should probably wait until after the meeting to ask it so as not to make your co-workers sit and suffer through it as well.

does one city really need 2 stations to play around the clock christmas music? no.

Mother's Little Helper

not exactly sure what they are but i'm sure i could put them to use....

i've always known i have some light ocd tendencies and sometimes it's good. at other times it's annoying. today it was just draining.

i'm working on a crochet project. i noticed the border wasn't even. i undid a few hours worth of work. then i realized that i could just start the whole thing over and make it even better and that i did. so i lost 2.5 days worth of work. i'll be much happier with the end product but it's still just draining - ya know?

now if only i could put this much effort into something like my career (or lack) thereof - but i don't call myself the perfectionist receptionist for nothing.

My mother had a yard sale this weekend. It started on Friday. Friday was beautiful! Sunny. Bright. Warm. Perfect day for a yard sale.

She asked me to come up and help run it on Saturday along with her co-worker Annie as she had to work. I said sure! I packed up a skirt and tank top and hit the road!

I arrived Friday evening - still beautiful. Before I went to bed it started to pour. Thunder. Lightening. The works.

Saturday morning it is still raining. We manage to get it all set up despite the drizzle (which eventually stops). The sun started to peek out. You could almost feel it's warmth! I thought - This might not be so bad after all!

It gets cold.

Very cold.

Wet cold.

I being an idiot have a skirt. I did bring jeans but they are in the wash and I it's taking forever and a day for them to get done. I sport a yellow poof ball winter cap (borrowed but never returned from/to my friend Dan - if you read this - sorry!) that my mom had in the sale. I put on my fleece. I am estatic to find my winter boots in my car. I wrap myself in a wool blanket. Annie who was smart enough to wear jeans, tennies and a sweatshirt also puts on a winter hat and scarf along with a bathrobe from the sale. We are a sight.....

The yardsale was supposed to last until 4. We packed up at 1. It was so butt fucking cold! Our fingers were just raw and hurt more than I can remember them ever hurting in the dead of winter.

It sucked.

And to make matters worse Chris called and reported that the weather in Woodbury was bright, clear, sunny, and nearly 90! 90! Needless to say I packed my bags shortly thereafter and went home.

So there was my yard sale weekend extravaganza. I also want to point out - in case none of you have experienced it - that it is extremely weird to have your parents rent out your room. That's right - they rented out my room. Evidently a co-worker of my moms needed a room for the summer and she volunteered (I think she may have thought she wouldn't actually be taken up on the offer....) Anyhow - she had stuff in the yard sale. She was supposed to help on Friday. She did not. My mom woke her up along with me at 7am. I got up. She got up - moved her car - and went back to bed! She conveniently woke up well after we had everything set up and then proceeded to sit on her ass. She did nothing to help. In fact she hindered sales by parking her butt on the steps blocking potential porch shoppers.

So - I was very unimpressed. And to top it all off she was sleeping in my room - in my bed! I could have dealt with this - she needed help and my mom was kind enough to offer it. But the fact that she was so freaking lazy irritated me a lot. So - yeah. Ick.

Alright - I will leave you with some fabulous pictures! I would have posted them earlier but Chris's computer decided that it hated me and shut down 7 times whenever I tried to post. For now it is being nice and I'm thankful.

p.s. There is one picture of Albus in the new kennel. It turned out great! I keep forgetting to put pictures up! We forgot to really take any while building. Perhaps I'll get some good ones this weekend - that's right - I'll be in Duluth again! I have a ticket to see Jesus Christ Superstar with my folks! I love that show :)

p.p.s. My jeans eventually dried. I put them on only to discover that I'm fat. They almost don't fit. This sucks. I need to exercise. Should I be exercising now? Yes! But I'm blogging...sigh...

24 as in 24 days without employment.


yes, it is now day 24 in my quest for a job and things are not looking too hot. granted, i have not been out there looking in a way that anyone other than my slacker self would notice - but that doesn't matter.


what matters is the fact that after making a car payment today and realizing that i will really be in danger soon of not having any money i have begun the job search at full speed. it has been annoying thus far (hence the ugly picture).


all those helpful job listing sights are really really really REALLY annoying. i don't know how many accounts i've signed up for or how many log in names and passwords i've forgotten about. each job listing wants you to sign up for it's own account to apply - because god forbid they give you an e-mail, address, or phone number to contact them with.


i did manage to find one job listing that i was qualified for that gave me an actual e-mail address. so i applied for it. i think tomorrow i'm just going to suck it in and apply at some retail stores - i NEED money. starbucks offers insurance for part time - something to consider.
